For the 2026/2027 school year we are looking for committed volunteers. You can start straight away, or later in the year.
What you would be doing
- Accompanying primary school children through their day
- Supporting our educators
- Helping to shape lunchtimes, free play and outings
- Looking after the prepared environment and the Montessori materials
What you bring
- A real delight in working with children
- Reliability, patience and team spirit
- Curiosity about Montessori education
- Compulsory full-time schooling completed, usually aged 16 to 26
What awaits you
- A year full of experiences with children who learn self-directedly and with enthusiasm
- A warm team that will show you the ropes and stay alongside you
- An allowance, social insurance, holiday and training seminars through the sponsoring body
- Valuable practical experience for training, study or finding your own direction
Good to know: you are employed by a sponsoring body
Your voluntary year does not run through the school directly but through a recognised sponsoring body — for example Internationaler Bund, Caritas, Diakonie or the German Red Cross. You apply to them for the voluntary service; we are the placement. Just get in touch with us and we will gladly point you to the right bodies.
