Morning circle: talking about feelings

In our morning circles we went deeper into the subject of emotions with the help of our feelings cards, taking up everyday situations from the Children's House in which children experience different feelings.
One example: at carnival, a child wanted to give their friend a present. The child who received it was delighted; the others were sad. We acted this situation out together and talked about seeing it from each side — with the clear message that every feeling is right and matters.
We also learned a verse: “My feelings are right and they matter, your feelings are right and they matter. I say no, leave that alone. Set a boundary, do no harm. I can help and I can ask for help. My body belongs to me!”
