A week of circus magic at our primary school

In the week of 15 to 20 September 2024 a particular magic lay over our primary school. Colourful fabrics decorated the corridors and laughter rang through the building. Working with the travelling Crazy Monkey circus, our school turned into a real circus ring.
For a week our pupils practised the tightrope, acrobatics, the art of magic and juggling. Daring fakirs left faces full of astonishment, while clowns won hearts with their antics.
On Friday 20 September the moment came: in two festive performances the young artistes showed what they could do — to a delighted audience of friends, relatives and the children of the adjoining Children's House.
The pre-school children had a big moment too: with vendor's trays they had made themselves, they moved through the crowd selling popcorn and other treats. Their contribution added to the atmosphere and helped fund the project.
The week did not only enchant our school community; it showed how much courage, creativity and team spirit there is in every single child.
